Protection of personal data 

At our association, we are aware of the responsibility of handling personal data, therefore we ensure that we manage, maintain, store and control all personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals in on the processing of personal data and on the free flow of such data and on the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter: General Data Protection Regulation) and the Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 94/07 - official consolidated text with amendments ).

Individual rights in relation to the management of personal data

The individual is entitled to confirmation as to whether personal data is being processed in relation to him and, when this is the case, access to personal data and a statement of the reasons for the processing as well as the meaning and anticipated consequences of such processing for him.

To the individual whose personal data we process, we want to guarantee all the rights arising from the General Regulation on Data Protection in the Slovene Forestry Association.

Right to rectification is the right of the individual to whom the personal data relates to have the controller correct inaccurate personal data relating to him without undue delay.

Taking into account the purposes of the processing, the individual to whom the personal data relates has the right to complete incomplete personal data, including the submission of a supplementary statement.

The right to erasure is the right of the individual to whom the personal data relates to have the controller delete the personal data concerning him without undue delay, and the controller has the obligation to delete the personal data without undue delay when one of the following reasons applies:

  • personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed;

  • the data subject revokes the consent on the basis of which the processing takes place;

  • the individual to whom the personal data relates objects to the processing, and there are no overriding legal reasons for their processing;

  • personal data were processed illegally;

  • personal data must be deleted to fulfill a legal obligation in accordance with the law of the Union or the law of the Republic of Slovenia;

  • personal data were collected in connection with the offer of information society services.​

The right to restriction of processing is the right of the data subject to have the controller restrict processing when one of the following cases applies:

  • the individual to whom the personal data relates disputes the accuracy of the data, namely for a period that allows the controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data;

  • the processing is illegal and the data subject opposes the deletion of the personal data and instead requests the restriction of their use;

  • the controller no longer needs the personal data for processing purposes, but the individual to whom the personal data relates needs them to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;

  • the data subject has objected to the processing until it is verified whether the controller's legitimate reasons prevail over the data subject's reasons.

We will notify each user to whom personal data has been disclosed of any corrections or deletions of personal data or processing restrictions. In addition, we undertake to enable the data subject to exercise the right to data portability, in such a way that he receives the personal data relating to him that he has held in our possession in a structured, generally usable and machine-readable format. form, and the right to transmit this data to another controller without being hindered in doing so, when the processing is based on consent or a contract, or when it is carried out by automated means.

An individual has the right to one free copy of personal data or to a printout in electronic form.

Where personal data is processed for the purposes of direct marketing, the data subject has the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data relating to him for the purposes of such marketing, including profiling in so far as it is related to such direct marketing .

With this legal notice, we would like to inform individuals that they can address the above-mentioned claims regarding the exercise of rights in relation to personal data in writing to us, namely via e-mail: info@soteskanje-zveza.si or they are delivered personally to the headquarters of the association; Canyoning Association of Slovenia, Gregorčičeva ulica 5, Kamnik 5220.

The individual is aware that for the purposes of reliable identification, in the case of exercising rights in relation to personal data, we may request additional information from him, and he may refuse the implementation procedure of exercising rights only if he proves that he cannot reliably identify the individual.

The individual is aware that the Soteskarska zveza Slovenije, as the controller, must respond to the individual's request, with which he asserts his rights in relation to the above-mentioned personal data, without undue delay and at the latest within one (1) month of receiving the request.

The data subject has the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which has legal effects in relation to him or similarly significantly affects him.

An individual has the right to file a complaint against the controller with the information commissioner if he believes that the processing of personal data violates the General Data Protection Regulation.
